Job summary

Phonelab Group Sdn Bhd in Subang Jaya, Malaysia is seeking a skilled mobile device technician to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues across smartphones. You will perform motherboard repairs, component replacements, and system troubleshooting while delivering clear customer explanations.

The role requires a disciplined, self-motivated individual able to work 6 days a week, with basic computer literacy and good English.

Qualifications

Technical proficiency in mobile phone hardware repair and software troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with motherboard issues and component replacement.
Experience in retail operations is advantageous.
Fluency in English and multiple languages is preferred.
Excellent customer service and ability to explain technical issues clearly.
Computer literacy (basic).
Able to work 6 days a week.
Disciplined, self-motivated and independent.

Responsibilities

Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones using diagnostic tools.
Perform component-level repairs including soldering on circuit boards.
Replace damaged components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and ports.
Troubleshoot software-related issues including OS errors and connectivity.
Provide clear customer communication of repair solutions.
Maintain repair records and inventory using a computerized system.
Stay updated with latest mobile technology through ongoing learning.

Diagnose hardware and software issues in mobile phones, using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify the root cause of problems.
Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and desoldering of microchips, connectors, and other surface-mounted devices on mobile phone circuit boards.
Replace damaged or malfunctioning components such as screens, batteries, cameras, and charging ports, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues, including operating system errors, application malfunctions, and connectivity problems, using software flashing and debugging techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical issues and repair solutions clearly and professionally to customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions, using a computerized system to track inventory and manage service requests.
Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile phone technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
