Job summary

Arup in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services across diverse property projects. You will own design packages, supervise small teams, and collaborate with clients, architects and consultants to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical excellence, and support business development while upholding Arup’s values and standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant mechanical building services experience.
• Strong technical capability in HVAC and mechanical building services for property projects from concept to delivery.
• Ability to own mechanical design packages and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven client and stakeholder management skills; mentor junior engineers.
• Knowledge of local/international codes, standards, and professional progression.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept and detailed design of mechanical building services across diverse property projects.
• Take ownership of mechanical design packages including calculations, drawings, specs and reports.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and consultants to deliver quality engineering solutions.
• Manage mechanical workstreams and small project teams, including planning and resourcing.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence and business development.
