Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering leader in Malaysia to manage complex projects from conception to completion. You will oversee a group of engineers, coordinate with architects, contractors and clients, and mentor junior staff while driving sustainable design practices.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical design consultancy for metro, railways or related infrastructure, with proficiency in BIM at multiple LODs and familiarity with local codes.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Masters or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field with proven project management track record.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and preferably PE with practice status.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for a technical group, interpreting, organizing, and coordinating assignments.
• Plan and develop engineering tasks for complex problems and novel concepts.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and manage budgets and schedules for large projects.
• Serve as lead engineer on mid- to large-size projects and present technical solutions to clients.
• Ensure quality control and contribute to technical proposals.
