Job summary

Horizontal Talent seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical solutions for large-scale building and infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will provide technical leadership, manage project execution, and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients.

A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and minimum five years' experience in HVAC, piping, or building services is required, with proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit/BIM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in HVAC, piping, building services, or industrial mechanical systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical system design and engineering activities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Review and approve engineering designs.
• Manage mechanical engineering deliverables throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
