Job summary

Arup in Malaysia seeks an Associate Principal - Electrical to lead Electrical services design across projects and markets in Malaysia and the region. You will provide technical leadership, mentoring, and oversight within the MEP team.

The role requires 15–20 years of MEP design experience, chartership eligibility, and a strong network of client contacts. You will drive quality, budget, and schedule, while developing capability and pursuing new opportunities for Arup.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of design experience in the MEP space.
• Eligibility for Chartership with IE Aust or Malaysia PEPC.
• Well-developed client network with property development project consultancy.
• Strong leadership and mentoring for less experienced staff.
• Proven ability to manage design teams and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with industry networks, clients, architects, government agencies, sub-consultants, and construction contractors.
• Supervise proposals/submissions and negotiate contracts within the MEP framework.
• Ensure consistent completion of Electrical Services projects within quality, budget and program expectations.
• Coordinate design activities and ensure standards are up-to-date.
• Conduct technical reviews to ensure Arup quality objectives and client satisfaction.
