Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Consultancy/ Data Center) in Malaysia to lead mechanical design activities, review drawings and specifications, and coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

You will conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and support tender processes while ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Mentoring junior engineers and driving process improvements are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical engineering.
• Strong experience leading complex engineering design and implementation.
• Good knowledge of engineering principles, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Adaptable and able to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design activities, including heat load calculations, QA, testing, and commissioning.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and tender documents.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and provide technical recommendations.
• Monitor project progress and resolve technical or design-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support tender preparation and evaluation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.
