Job summary

WEO Optronics is a fast-growing Opto-Mechanical and manufacturing plant in Melaka, Malaysia. We seek a Mechanical Engineer to collaborate with suppliers on planning output, delivery, and process improvements, ensuring alignment with cost and quality targets.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing with CNC knowledge, the ability to read 2D/3D drawings with GD&T, and familiarity with Zeiss CMM. You will support new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in manufacturing, preferably with CNC knowledge and surface treatment.
• Well-versed with mechanical processes including turning, milling, turn mill, and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Read mechanical drawings with 2D/3D, familiar with GD&T.
• Technical expertise in Zeiss CMM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers for planning output, on-time delivery, and quality improvements.
• Work with WEO HQ and sites to ensure projects launch on time meeting cost, quality, and productivity metrics.
• Review RFQ compliance to customer requirements and specifications.
