KMWE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement advanced machining processes for NPIs and engineering changes. You will define parameters, tools, and setups to optimize performance and quality, and you will conduct feasibility studies and PFMEA/Control Plans in line with ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 13485.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent, with 2+ years of related experience.
Develop and implement new machining processes to support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes.
Define machining parameters, cutting tools, and setups to optimize process performance and product quality.
Conduct process feasibility studies and manufacturing reviews based on customer and design requirements.
Prepare and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEA and Control Plans in line with ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 13485 standards.
Plan and execute process validation activities for medical and aerospace components.
Analyze production data and implement continuous process improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework.
Investigate process issues using structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D) and implement corrective actions.
Design or improve jigs, fixtures, and work-holding solutions to enhance high-precision machining's performance.
Support equipment maintenance and calibration for critical manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and CAM teams to resolve technical and process issues.
Train and support production operators / machinists on process setup, control, and best manufacturing practices.
Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent; or minimum 2 years of related working experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and experiences in machining processes, CNC manufacturing, cutting tools, fixturing and GD&T is an advantage.
Familiar with ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 and customer-specific audit requirements.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
