Job summary

Hirehub Group in Senai, Johor is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical structures for CNC machine tools, focusing on VMC and gantry machines. You will create 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and BOMs, and assist the Malaysia factory with manufacturing and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, 3–7 years CNC design experience, and strong English & Mandarin communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• 3–7 years CNC mechanical design experience, preferably VMC/gantry centers.
• Proficient in 3D CAD, 2D drafting, and BOM preparation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical structures and components for CNC machine tools (VMC/gantry).
• Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
• Support the Malaysia factory with mechanical engineering, production, assembly and troubleshooting.
• Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support to customers in SE Asia.
• Collaborate with China-based engineering teams and other internal departments.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Mechatronics, CNC Technology, Automation, or related fields.
• 3-7 years of relevant CNC mechanical design experience, preferably VMC or gantry machining centers.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, tolerances, fits, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
• Proficient in 3D CAD, 2D drafting, and BOM preparation.
• Good understanding of machining, manufacturing, machine structures, and design for manufacturability.
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Good English & Mandarin communication skills.
• Willing to undergo 3-4 months' training in China and travel for customer/project support.

Location: Senai, Johor

Salary Range: RM6,000 - 9,000 (negotiable)
