Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to join our factory in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will contribute to mechanical design and development of our core products, and provide technical support for prototype integration, testing and manufacturing to support production operations.

The role involves working with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sales, QA, QC and R&D to ensure products meet performance and reliability.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to join our factory in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This role is essential in providing mechanical design and development of our core products, as well as providing technical support for prototype integration, testing and manufacturing to support our production operations. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, sales, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and R&D, to ensure products meet performance. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of photonic and optical products, including optical modules, measurement instruments, and various photonic systems.

About you

• Degree in EEE, Mechanical, or any relevant field
• A minimum of a 2nd upper class honors or equivalent degree
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, machine elements, materials, and fabrication methods
• Familiar with CAD design softwares, such as inventor or solidworks
• Enthusiasm for problem-solving, hands‑on activities, and learning cutting‑edge technologies and devices
• Cooperative, responsive, and effective communication skills
• Proactive and resourceful in sourcing and providing innovative solutions
• Good attitude towards work and has good team spirit
• Fluent in both English and Chinese in reading and written; proficiency in Malay is an added advantage
