The Starling Mall in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager, Leasing to drive occupancy, optimise rental returns, and build strong tenant relationships. You will develop leasing plans and close deals with tenants to align with the mall’s vision.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Business, Real Estate, Marketing or related field, with 8+ years in mall or retail leasing, negotiation skills, and a proven track record of portfolio management and renewals.

Senior Manager / Manager (The Starling Mall)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager / Manager, Leasing to join our team at The Starling Mall, with responsibility for driving occupancy, optimising rental returns, and building strong tenant relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and execute leasing plans that maximize occupancy and revenue growth, in line with the mall’s vision.

Identify, pitch, and close deals with potential tenants that complement the mall’s retail mix.

Negotiate and finalize lease agreements with new and existing tenants to ensure strong financial returns.

Implement proactive leasing strategies to minimize vacancies and optimize rental yields.

Develop strong partnerships with retailers, ensuring a positive leasing experience and long-term retention.

Manage tenant onboarding, including move-in coordination and familiarization with building amenities.

Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal, Fit-Out, Credit Control, and Operations to ensure smooth lease administration.

Work closely with the Credit Control Team to monitor rental payments and minimize arrears.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage leasing portfolios and close deals effectively.

Independent, resourceful, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 8 years of experience in shopping mall or retail commercial properties (highly desirable).

Strong experience in tenant acquisition, retail mix planning, and lease negotiations.

Demonstrated success in managing retail leasing portfolios and renewals.
