Job summary

Swiss Profile (M) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Senior Manager - Finance and Compliance to lead the finance and accounting functions, ensuring timely reporting and robust internal controls.

The role also oversees compliance, audits, taxation, and banking matters, coordinating shared resources across Swiss Profile and PX Swissmet. A degree in accounting and at least five years of senior experience, with strong English and Bahasa Melayu skills, are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting from a recognised university or professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance/compliance role.
• Experience in audit, tax and management consultancy is an added advantage.
• Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting department to develop and maintain the financial, accounting and costing system.
• Ensure timely financial reporting for management reviews and decision making.
• Manage the company's financial resources and optimize utilization.
• Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets.

Job description

The Senior Manager - Finance and Compliance has to ensure all financial matters of the company are well organized, financial reporting is done on time, internal control functions are effectively in place and all statutory compliance brought to his/her attention are complied with. It encompasses treasury, financial, costs, accounting, audit, taxation and banking as well as all contracts entered by the company with another entity. The role also provides leadership and oversight to the Account Assistant Manager supporting both local entities, Swiss Profile and PX Swissmet, ensuring effective coordination of shared finance and Compliance resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCE

To lead the finance an accounting department to develop, implement and maintain the financial, accounting and costing system.

To ensure timely financial reporting for management reviews and decision making.

To manage the company's financial resources and maintain optimum and efficient utilization of such resources.

To develop and maintain an efficient and effective internal control procedures to safeguard the assets of the company.

To report to shareholders and corporate office on all financial matters required.

To ensure that all personnel under concerned department are properly trained and competent in their job.

COMPLIANCE

To ensure statutory compliance in all aspect of law

To ensure all agreements and contracts entered into by the company with another entity are vetted.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure all financial transactions are properly accounted for.

To liaise with bankers and credit companies to secure appropriate financing for the company

To manage receivables to minimise bad and doubtful debts

To liaise with external auditors, tax agent and secretarial agents on statutory compliance

To liaise with government officials on licensing and permit matters

AUTHORITIES

The Senior Manager - Finance & Compliance is empowered to make financial decisions, to approve or reject any proposals which have a financial impact on the company, with due consideration on the timing, appropriateness, requirement vis-a-vis the financial health of the company.

He / She also is authorized to propose, amend, re-phrase or change in any way deemed appropriate any agreements, contracts or arrangements brought to his/her attention before they are signed by the company.

EDUCATION

Degree in accounting from a recognized university or professional qualification.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES

Possesses strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to financial management.

Minimum 5 years working experience in similar position.

Working experience in audit, tax and management consultation industry is an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of computer accounting software, spreadsheet and word processing.

Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu.
