Job summary

Tunglip Precision Industry Sdn Bhd in Batu Pahat, Johor, is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Finance and Accounting team. This full-time role focuses on managing financial accounting operations and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting for the organisation.

The successful candidate will oversee key accounting functions, maintain financial records, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA, CPA Malaysia or equivalent highly desirable.
• 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of MFRS and local tax regulations.
• Experience in preparing financial statements and month/year-end closing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements and records per MFRS.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, including reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable with timely processing.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with financial reports and management accounts for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on tax matters.
• Liaise with external auditors and address audit findings.
• Implement internal controls and accounting policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.

About the role

Tunglip Precision Industry Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Finance and Accounting team in Batu Pahat, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in managing our financial accounting operations and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting across the organisation. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, maintaining financial records, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. This role is integral to our financial governance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and maintain comprehensive financial statements and accounting records in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and relevant accounting principles
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and resolution of outstanding items
• Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly
• Support the preparation of financial reports and management accounts for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with taxation requirements and coordinate with tax advisors on tax-related matters
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting procedures and best practices
• Liaise with external auditors during audit processes and address audit findings and recommendations
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and financial reporting efficiency

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA Malaysia, or equivalent is highly desirable
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with advanced spreadsheet skills
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements and managing month-end/year-end closing procedures
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Experience in supervising and developing junior staff members
• Knowledge of manufacturing or precision engineering industries is advantageous
