Job summary

DayOne is seeking a Construction Manager (Mechanical & Electrical) to oversee the full lifecycle of M&E projects, ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and handover for data centers. The role requires deep expertise in HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection and IST testing.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction project management experience in M&E or engineering, with data center exposure preferred.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in construction PM within the M&E or engineering field.
Experience in data center projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, power, and fire protection.
IST testing and commissioning experience.
CAPEX planning and total cost of ownership (TCO) understanding.
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
Proficient with MS Project and MS Office; strong organizational skills.
Fluent in English; APAC languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

Oversee the entire M&E construction lifecycle including planning, execution and handover.
Coordinate with site and contractor teams to ensure timely milestone completion.
Manage M&E contracts and oversee amendments with architects and subcontractors.
Monitor budgets, prepare progress and financial reports for stakeholders.
Maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, and authorities; ensure standards.
Collaborate with external consultants on design and construction of M&E systems.
Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with regulations and permits.
Drive continuous improvement and implement quality control techniques.
