Job summary

OCI Tokuyama Semiconductor Materials Sdn Bhd is seeking an Officer/Senior Officer in the Logistics Section to coordinate import shipments and ensure timely delivery to the plant. The role requires preparing import documents, monitoring customs clearance, and managing permits and exemptions with relevant authorities.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in logistics, a degree in logistics or related field, and strong coordination and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, import/export, customs clearance, or supply chain operations.
• Experience in import/export operations, customs clearance, or trade compliance is advantageous.
• Knowledge of MIDA, Customs, CIDB, SIRIM, and import permit processes preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with procurement teams, suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders for import shipments.
• Ensure timely delivery of imported goods to the plant.
• Prepare and verify import documents such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Monitor customs clearance and transportation arrangements.
• Ensure imported materials comply with all customs and regulatory requirements.
• Apply for and manage import permits, licenses, and special approvals through relevant authorities.
• Manage applications for duty and tax exemptions under MIDA and Customs requirements.
• Process exemption applications through relevant government systems.
• Ensure imported goods are covered under approved permits and exemptions.
• Maintain and update MIDA SPM records and approved import quota balances.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on duty and tax-exempt imports.
• Maintain accurate and organized import, customs, and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure records are audit-ready and compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
• Support logistics and trade compliance activities as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
