Job summary

Mehow Medical (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement leader to drive Lean initiatives on the shop floor. You will lead Kaizen events, coach teams, and sustain GMP-aligned improvements across production lines.

The role focuses on OEE, cycle time, scrap reduction, and cost savings, with close collaboration across production, engineering, quality, maintenance and finance. Strong Lean Six Sigma expertise and the ability to mentor engineers are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills using Lean Six Sigma tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results on the shop floor.
• Experience in GMP/quality systems and cost-improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kaizen events and structured improvement projects (PDCA/DMAIC) to improve productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Coach engineers, supervisors, and Green Belts on Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
• Own and drive CI projects on the shopfloor with a rolling pipeline of actions and regular progress reports.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Finance to implement practical solutions.
• Drive improvement of Lean KPIs like OEE, cycle time, scrap and defect rate.
• Lead optimization of assembly and injection moulding processes using root cause analysis and SMED.
• Support and lead CAPA investigations and customer complaints using GMP-compliant methods.
• Ensure sustainability through standardization, documentation, training, and audits.
