SIRIM Berhad in Shah Alam, Malaysia is seeking a Senior IT Executive to join the ICT team on a full-time basis. You will manage and enhance our IT infrastructure, lead security practices, and guide operations for stable, reliable ICT services.
The role requires a Bachelor's in IT/CS/IS or equivalent, and at least 4 years in IT infrastructure or related roles, with hands-on Azure, Linux server administration and virtualization experience. A strong technical leader is expected.

Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous operation of Linux server infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services and ICT systems.
- Install, configure, harden, patch and enhance Linux servers and related ICT infrastructure.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and implement proactive maintenance for availability.
- Manage backup operations, disaster recovery readiness and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify requirements and implement infrastructure solutions.

We are seeking a Senior IT Executive to join our Information & Communication Technology team at our Shah Alam, Selangor office on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Networks & Systems Administration function, where you will play a pivotal role in managing, maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure and network systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security and optimal performance of our technology systems, whilst providing technical leadership and guidance to support SIRIM Berhad's operational excellence and business objectives.
Ensure the continuous and effective operation of SIRIM's Linux server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, cloud services and critical ICT systems by managing, monitoring and maintaining a stable, secure and highly available environment.
Perform installation, configuration, hardening, patch management and enhancement activities for Linux servers, virtualization platforms and related ICT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues and implement proactive maintenance measures to ensure optimum service availability and reliability.
Manage backup operations, disaster recovery readiness, system recovery activities and incident resolution to ensure business continuity and continuity of ICT services.
Conduct infrastructure performance and capacity monitoring, prepare technical documentation and recommend improvements to enhance ICT operational efficiency.
Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify technology requirements and implement effective infrastructure and cloud-based solutions.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend upgrades, enhancements and best practices to improve system performance, security and scalability.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 4 years' experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, cloud technologies or related technical roles.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, cloud technologies, Linux server administration and virtualization platforms.
Proven experience in managing server infrastructure, enterprise systems and related ICT environments.
Experience in infrastructure monitoring, system hardening, patch management, performance tuning, and backup and recovery operations.
Strong knowledge of ICT security practices, including vulnerability management, access control, firewalls and data protection.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure or other relevant cloud and infrastructure certifications will be an added advantage.
