Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our payments and reporting team in Kuala Lumpur. You will perform data entry and approval of payment instructions, screen transactions, and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

You will collaborate with business partners, communicate via email or phone, and maintain compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including mandatory training and EUC/automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance or equivalent related qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a financial institution, preferably branch operations or payment centre.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of BNM policies and AML/CFT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and/or approval of payment instructions, as well as transaction screening.
• Prepare and submit relevant reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Work with business partners and communicate via email or telephone to ensure task completion.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including mandatory training.
• Possess knowledge of EUC and automation tools to support process improvements.
