Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is hiring a Payment & Settlement Officer to ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of card-related transactions. You will support stakeholders with data requests and help manage settlements with card schemes.

The role requires a finance-focused bachelor’s degree and strong Excel skills, with emphasis on reconciliation, reporting, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in card operations, reconciliation, or financial reporting is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced use of formulas, functions and Power Query.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process merchant and customer payments and transactions.
• Perform reconciliation and maintain general ledger entries for card-related transactions.
• Manage settlement processes, billings and invoices from card schemes.
• Reconcile card scheme transactions, billings, invoices and update general ledgers.
• Execute payments to regulatory bodies and ensure accurate reconciliation and ledger updates.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports in compliance with guidelines.
• Compile and prepare quarterly reports for Visa and Mastercard using internal data.
• Ensure timely submission of card scheme reports.
• Retrieve and fulfill merchant statement requests as per SLAs.
• Support additional tasks or projects as required.
