Job summary

Leighton Asia in Malaysia invites a Senior Human Resources Officer (Recruitment) to join our team. You will own end-to-end recruitment, from sourcing to onboarding, and partner with hiring managers to fill critical roles for major infrastructure projects.

This role requires a bachelor's degree in HR or related field and at least five years in recruitment; construction or engineering sector exposure is a plus. You will help strengthen employer branding and ensure a smooth candidate experience.

Senior Human Resources Officer (Recruitment)

Job Duties

• Managing all aspects of the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, coordinating & conducting interviews, managing offers, and facilitating seamless onboarding experience.
• Proactively develop and nurture a strong talent pool by leveraging diverse sourcing channels such as job boards, social media platforms, networking events, and employee referral programs.
• Collaborate with Hiring Managers to understand role requirements and candidate success profiles, crafting clear, compelling job descriptions, and implementing effective sourcing strategies.
• Enhance the candidate on-boarding experience from the initial interaction through to the job offer stage.
• Play a key role in employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice and attract top talent in a competitive market.
• Provide assistance with various HR-related areas, including but not limited to HR Operations and Support, performance management, and compliance initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

Possess a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.

Experience in the construction, engineering, or project-based industry is preferred.

• A strong ability to identify and engage high-potential talent across various channels effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to influence decisions and build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
• A resourceful mindset with the ability to manage multiple roles, priorities, and challenges simultaneously.
