Job summary

JD Sports Fashion Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an Executive/Senior Executive in People Rewards & Operations to manage payroll for retail staff, verify attendance, and coordinate with HR Operations to collect payroll documents. The role also covers leave management, medical benefits, and filing of HR records.

You will liaise with government bodies and payroll vendors, support store-level HR matters, conduct exit interviews, and assist with annual HR processes and onboarding activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in retail HR/payroll.
• Experience managing HR matters across Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for retail staff (permanent and part-time) and calculate all payable components.
• Check and calculate store employees’ time and attendance data.
• Maintain the e-leave system and support Store Managers with leave data.
• Record and monitor medical benefit utilization for all store employees.
• Submit statutory contributions and government requirements after payroll processing.
• Complete and maintain HR filing and employees’ personal files.
• Liaise with government departments on new laws affecting payroll.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors and resolve payroll issues.
• Submit monthly Staff Due for Confirmation reports for store-level monitoring.
• Address HR matters at store level including disciplinary and counselling matters.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyse employee turnover at store level.
• Support annual HR processes such as reviews and performance appraisals.
• Prepare onboarding documentation and coordinate new hire joining details.
• Handle ad hoc HR duties as assigned by Line Manager.
