Job summary

Matrix Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Matrix Group, seeks an experienced HR Operations professional to manage Malaysia HR functions.

You will handle onboarding/offboarding, employee data, and documentation, while coordinating payroll with vendors and finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness. You will ensure compliance with the Malaysia Employment Act and related regulations, acting as the local expert for policies, benefits, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education in Human Resources Management or business-related disciplines.
• 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, with strong exposure to Malaysia payroll and employment law.
• In-depth knowledge of the Malaysia Employment Act and related legislation.
• Excellent communication skills; flexible and approachable attitude.
• Proactive, responsible, organized, and a strong team player.
• Tech-savvy; comfortable using HRIS/AI systems and open to new tools.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay; able to liaise with local and regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations for the Malaysia office, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, letter issuance, and documentation.
• Coordinate and support local payroll runs with payroll vendors and finance for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with the Malaysia Employment Act and related legislations; act as local HR expert for inquiries.
• Serve as authorised local point of contact for statutory registrations (EPF, SOCSO, EIS) where local representation is required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to drive efficiency.
