Job Overview
The Senior Human Resources Manager/ Assistant General Manager assists the HR Director in providing vision, direction, and leadership in all aspects of human capital management across the organization. The role supports the HR Director as a key strategic partner to top management by driving HR transformation, workforce optimization, and organizational culture development to ensure alignment between HR strategies and overall business goals. He/she also plays a vital role in shaping HR policies, managing change initiatives, and strengthening leadership pipelines to build a high-performance, engaged, and compliant workforce.
Job Description
1. Strategic HR Planning & Digitalization
- Partner with the HR Director to design and execute high-impact HR strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead long-term workforce planning, organizational design, and capability building to support business expansion.
- Oversee HR digitalization, tool adoption, and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
2. Talent Acquisition & Development Management
- Formulate proactive strategies to source, attract, and retain top-tier talent across all business units.
- Direct leadership development, succession planning, and talent pipeline frameworks to ensure long-term business continuity.
- Design and implement comprehensive competency frameworks and employee learning roadmaps.
- Administer performance management systems, establishing a transparent, merit-driven, and high-performance culture.
- Oversee strategic learning roadmaps and training initiatives aligned with organizational needs.
- Formulate, update, and enforce robust HR policies to ensure strict compliance with employment laws, ethical standards, and statutory regulations.
- Establish internal governance frameworks to ensure transparency, accountability, and consistency across all operations.
- Direct periodic HR audits and internal reviews to identify process gaps and mitigate operational risks.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and legal advisors on labor relations and compliance issues.
4. Employee Relations, Engagement & Culture
- Drive culture-building initiatives, transparent communication channels, and employee engagement programs.
- Act as an escalated point of resolution for complex employee grievances, workplace conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
- Promote an ethical workplace by upholding zero-tolerance policies against harassment, discrimination, and unfair practices.
5. Change Management & HR Analytics
- Lead change management strategies, communication plans, and transition frameworks during organizational restructures, mergers, or operational shifts.
- Track key HR metrics (retention, turnover, engagement, headcount costs) and present executive insights to optimize organizational performance.
- Mentor, manage, and empower functional HR leaders and site teams across all locations.
- Oversee General Affairs (GA) functions, including facilities management, physical security, transportation, and employee welfare operations.
- Drive operational cost-efficiencies and sustainability programs across all GA administrative functions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Proven leadership experience in HR strategy, transformation, and policy development.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, and organizational design.
- Able to liaise with government departments.
- Analytical thinking and teaching ability to organize training or provide training.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 & social compliance.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience within the manufacturing industry or a related industrial/production environment.
