Job summary

ZHONGXIANG CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking an HR professional in Petaling Jaya to support recruitment, payroll, and HR administration. You will maintain personnel files, handle onboarding, and ensure statutory compliance while coordinating with government bodies and agents for work permits.

The role requires at least two years in HR, strong English/Mandarin/Bahasa Melayu communication, and proficiency in MS Excel and payroll systems. Office hours apply with potential overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: SPM/O Level or Diploma/ Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of HR-related experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; familiar with payroll and statutory filings.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu; good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Handle recruitment activities: job posting, screening, interview arrangements and onboarding.
• Maintain and manage employees' personal files and HR records.
• Process monthly payroll and statutory contributions/payments (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN, HRDF).
• Manage attendance, leave records and other payroll-related matters.
• Handle employee relations and basic disciplinary matters with HR letters and docs.
• Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian employment laws and regulations.
• Assist with work permit applications for foreign workers and liaise with agents.
• Communicate with government departments on HR/employment matters.

5 working days (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm)

Job Responsibilities

Handle recruitment activities, including job posting, candidate screening, interview arrangement and staff onboarding.

Maintain, update and manage employees’ personal files, HR records.

Process monthly payroll accurately and ensure timely submission of statutory contributions and payments, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN and HRDF.

Manage staff attendance, leave records and other payroll-related matters.

Handle employee relations and basic disciplinary matters, including HR letters and documentation.

Ensure HR practices and records comply with relevant Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.

Perform other HR-related duties as assigned by management.

Assist with the management and application of work permits for foreign workers, including liaising with agents on related matters.

Liaise and communicate with relevant government departments on HR and employment-related matters.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least SPM / “O” Level, Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.

At least 2 years of working experience in a related field.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work under pressure and willing to work overtime when required.

Familiar with employment laws, labour relations and other relevant HR regulations.

Required languages: Mandarin, English and Bahasa Melayu.

Well-versed in Million Payroll System will be an added advantage.
