The position requires a Bachelor's in electrical/mechanical or thermal engineering and 10‑12 years of HPC consulting experience with power and cooling technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical OR Thermal Engineering.
• 10-12 years' experience as a Consultant for HPC projects with Power & Cooling.
• Experience in power/electrical or mechanical/thermal engineering disciplines.
• Understanding of data center and IT solution power delivery architectures.
• Strong ability to design data center and IT solution cooling architectures and heat transfer.
• Proven leadership ability in engagements as a technical consultant in power and cooling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Decipher RFP requirements related to facility power and cooling infrastructure.
• Architect power and cooling solutions for air and water-cooled IT solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop requirements and success criteria.
• Work with sales and engineering SMEs to determine solution scope and costs.
• Capture the solution description and review with stakeholders.
• Provide engineering guidance across power/electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, and controls.
• Manage vendor engagements for delivered solution pieces.
• Stay current with technologies and collaborate with ASHRAE and external organizations.
• Be involved in the physical installation of complex IT systems that are air or water-cooled.
