Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Senior Services HVAC Engineer (Data Centre Focus) based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The role leads HVAC operations in mission-critical data centre environments, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety.

You will manage maintenance, diagnostics, and coordination with technicians and vendors, while upholding EHS standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years HVAC experience, preferably in data centre operations.
• Experience engaging with data centre customers and managing expectations.
• Based in Johor Bahru and able to support regional operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems in data centre environments.
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance for chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers.
• Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance optimisation of HVAC and data centre cooling systems.
• Lead and supervise technicians or subcontractors to ensure timely, quality completion of tasks.
• Communicate with data centre customers to coordinate work schedules and resolve issues.
