Job summary

Private Advertiser in Sandakan, Sabah, is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer on a contract basis to lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for challenging construction projects. You will assess soil conditions, provide foundation and ground improvement guidance, and prepare technical reports.

The role requires a degree in civil/geotechnical engineering, chartered status preferred, and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years post-graduation geotechnical engineering experience.
Experience with soil mechanics and foundation design.
Ability to interpret geotechnical data and prepare reports.
Knowledge of Malaysian Building Codes and geotechnical standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct geotechnical site investigations and soil assessments.
Perform analysis and design for foundations, slopes, embankments, and retaining structures.
