Job summary

STMicroelectronics Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for FOL Assembly to lead equipment maintenance in a semiconductor environment. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive programs, and continuous improvement.

You will lead a team of technicians/engineers, managing downtime, MTBF/MTBI, and safety while collaborating with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality to ensure high availability and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 3–7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or equipment maintenance, preferably in Assembly.
• Strong hands-on experience with FOL Assembly equipment is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience leading or supervising a team of technicians or engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance activities for FOL Assembly equipment.
• Ensure high equipment availability, reliability and performance to support production requirements.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex equipment failures.
• Ensure timely recovery of equipment breakdowns and minimize production impact.
• Monitor equipment performance, downtime and maintenance KPIs.
