Job summary

STMicroelectronics Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a senior professional to lead and manage both manufacturing and maintenance activities for the Back-End Manufacturing assembly line. You will oversee daily operations, drive maintenance plans, and coordinate with engineering and production teams to maximize uptime and performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering and 10+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in semiconductor/electronics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering is required.
• 10+ years in maintenance engineering, preferably in semiconductor/electronics assembly operations.
• Experience in Back-End Manufacturing (BEM) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automation systems used in assembly lines.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of complex equipment.
• Experience with robotics and vision inspection systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with CMMS and preventive/predictive maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage manufacturing and maintenance activities for the assembly line, including equipment and machinery in Back-End Manufacturing (BEM).
• Oversee daily assembly production operations to meet output, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance plans with engineering and production teams.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production losses and equipment failures.
• Lead maintenance teams, provide technical guidance and ensure safety compliance.
• Support capacity planning, line balancing and process improvements.
