STMicroelectronics in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Back-End Manufacturing to support assembly operations with high quality, cost, and delivery targets. You will maintain and optimize assembly line equipment, lead preventive and predictive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1-5 years in maintenance engineering, preferably in semiconductor or electronics assembly operations. Experience in BACKEND MANUFACTURING is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems used in assembly lines.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment.
• Experience with PLC programming and control systems.
• Knowledge of robotics and vision inspection systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
• Root cause analysis and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA).
• Equipment calibration and validation.
• Spare parts management and inventory control.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in manufacturing environments.
• Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) regulations.

Responsabilités

• Manage maintenance activities for assembly line equipment and machinery in the Back-End Manufacturing (BEM) assembly process.
• Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and performance to meet production targets.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues on assembly lines.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve process efficiency.
• Manage maintenance team activities, provide technical guidance, and ensure safety compliance.
• Analyze equipment failure data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Plan and oversee installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, reports, and compliance with company standards.
• Lead cost saving projects to achieve annual savings.
