Job summary

An accounting firm in Shah Alam is seeking an experienced accountant to manage full sets of accounts for multiple clients. Responsibilities include overseeing payroll functions, ensuring compliance, and handling month-end financial closings. The ideal candidate should hold a diploma or degree, have prior experience in accounting firms, and possess proficient Mandarin skills to interact with clients. This is a full-time on-site position working from Mondays to Fridays.

Job description
  • Manage full sets of accounts for multiple clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Handle payroll functions for clients, including monthly salary processing, EPF, SOCSO, and tax contributions.
  • Work closely with clients to ensure smooth accounting operations and address financial queries.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings to ensure the accurate and timely completion of accounts.
  • Prepare and manage financial documents such as invoices, payables, receivables, and other records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Coordinate payment and billing processes with external service providers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Verify bank payments and deposits, and handle reconciliation with banking partners.
  • Act as the point of contact with auditors and other stakeholders, addressing financial reporting queries.

Job Requirements:

  • STPM/Diploma/Degree holder.
  • Prior working experience under accounting firms, experience in liaising with SME clients directly.
  • Full set of accounting and payroll experience required.
  • Mandarin proficiency is essential to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Able to work on-site in Setia Alam area Mondays-Fridays.
  • Expert in multitasking, able to juggle with multiple deadlines simultaneously.
