Bake With Yen is seeking a Finance Executive to join our finance team in Shah Alam. You will prepare and post general ledger journals, manage accruals and prepayments for month-end closings, and assist with monthly statements and reconciliation tasks for retail operations.

You will also handle budgeting, variance analysis, and rolling forecasts, and contribute to tax submissions and regulatory compliance while supporting treasury activities and ERP implementations.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post general ledger journals, accruals and prepayments for month-end and year-end closings.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reporting packs.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and fixed assets/cost data reconciliation for retail ops.
• Perform monthly budgeting and variance analysis against approved budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with annual budget planning and rolling monthly forecasts.
• Prepare indirect and corporate tax submissions and tax computations.
• Ensure compliance with FRs/MFRS/IFRS and internal controls.
• Monitor daily cash balances, bank reconciliations, and store cash management.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders during audits.
• Maintain SOPs and support ERP/accounting system implementations.

Prepare and post general ledger journals, accruals, and prepayments for month-end and year-end closing.

Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, management reporting packs, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Capture and reconcile fixed assets, inventory movements, and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) data unique to retail operations.

Budgeting & Variance Analysis:

Perform monthly analysis comparing actual retail expenditure and sales performance against approved budgets and forecasts.

Assist finance managers with annual budget planning and rolling monthly forecasts. [1, 2]

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:

Prepare local indirect and corporate tax submissions (such as SST/VAT), corporate tax computations, and deferred tax calculations.

Ensure adherence to financial reporting standards (FRS / MFRS / IFRS) and internal control policies.

Treasury & Operations Support:

Monitor daily cash balances, handle bank reconciliations, and support store cash management.

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and internal stakeholders during statutory or operational audits.

Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with ERP/accounting system implementations.
