Job summary

Sai Asia Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Senior Finance & Credit Control Executive to manage the company's financial operations, credit control, debt recovery and payment administration. You will handle project claims, invoicing, AR monitoring and timely collection while maintaining accurate records to support cash flow and financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or LCCI qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on debt collection or credit control.
• Able to handle a full set of accounts independently; construction accounting is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; Mr. Accounting experience is an advantage.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English; strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit project progress claims, invoices and VO claims within required deadlines.
• Monitor accounts receivable and maintain an updated debtor ageing report.
• Follow up on overdue payments by phone, email and formal letters.
• Track outstanding claims, retention sums and VO to ensure timely collection.
• Maintain records of collection activities, client commitments and payment schedules.
• Escalate overdue accounts and recommend recovery actions to management.
• Maintain a complete and accurate set of company accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monthly account closing.
• Reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements.
• Prepare weekly cash flow and debtor reports for management.

Senior Finance & Credit Control Executive

Sai Asia Builders Sdn Bhd is looking for a proactive, responsible and results-driven Senior Finance & Credit Control Executive to manage the company's financial operations, credit control, debt recovery and payment administration. The successful candidate will help improve cash flow, ensure timely submission of project claims, recover outstanding payments and maintain accurate financial records. The role requires confidence in following up with clients on overdue payments while maintaining a professional approach.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and submit project progress claims, invoices and variation order (VO) claims within required deadlines.

Monitor accounts receivable and maintain an updated debtor ageing report.

Follow up on overdue payments by phone, email and formal letters.

Track outstanding claims, retention sums and variation orders to ensure timely collection.

Maintain records of collection activities, client commitments and payment schedules.

Escalate overdue accounts and recommend recovery actions to management.

Maintain a complete and accurate set of company accounts.

Perform bank reconciliations and monthly account closing.

Reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements.

Prepare weekly cash flow and debtor reports for management.

About you
