Job summary

Lam Research seeks a Field Service Engineer to support global customers from Penang, Malaysia. You will install, relocate, and start up Lam etch/clean/deposition equipment at customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot field issues.

Responsibilities include on-site diagnostics, service actions coordination with customers, and 24/7 on-call standby. Occasional overseas travel and flexible shifts are required. Strong English communication is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Engineering; 5+ years experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to work independently and learn quickly
• Experience interpreting electrical/mechanical schematics

Responsibilities

• Install or relocate equipment at customer sites and perform startup and checkout
• Provide on-site preventive maintenance and repair of Lam equipment
• Troubleshoot, isolate faults, and perform corrective actions
• Prepare logs, service records, and reports
• Support field modifications per ECOs and participate in 24/7 on-call standby
