Fuji Electric (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to lead wafer failure analysis and defect inspection activities across inline and offline processes.
You will identify defect mechanisms, root causes, and drive process improvements to sustain yield performance. Responsibilities include monitoring defect trends, supporting QAR investigations, and developing robust analysis methods and reports for management.
Lead and perform complex in-line and off-line wafer failure analysis and defect inspection to identify defect mechanisms, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement.
Monitor wafer yield performance, analyse defect trends, and drive continuous yield improvement activities.
Support Quality Abnormal Report (QAR) investigations, lot disposition, and release of on-hold lots in accordance with established procedures and MRB decisions.
Drive cross-functional problem-solving activities with Production, Process, Equipment, Quality, and other relevant teams to resolve manufacturing and quality issues effectively.
Develop and optimize failure analysis / inspection methods, inspection criteria, recipes, and procedures to improve defect detection capability, analysis accuracy, and process efficiency.
Prepare and review failure analysis reports, investigation summaries, trend reports, and technical presentations for management and cross-functional teams.
Act as a technical subject matter expert for In-Line failure analysis processes, providing guidance and troubleshooting support to engineers and technicians on complex inspection and defect-related issues.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement, productivity, cost reduction, and quality improvement projects related to In-Line failure analysis operations.
Ensure compliance with Company policies, ESD, 5S, and workplace safety requirements.
Perform any other duties assigned by the superior or management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience; or
Technical Diploma/Certificate in Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Possess a positive attitude, good interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong willingness to learn.
