Job summary

AEON Malaysia is seeking a qualified in-house lawyer to provide legal advice to the business divisions, draft and vet all commercial documents, and monitor regulatory changes that affect operations. The role requires addressing potential legal actions and liaising with external solicitors on litigation and industrial relations matters.

English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is essential, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

To provide legal advice to respective business divisions of the Company.

To draft, vet and review all commercial documentations for the Company.

To highlight, monitor and deal with potential or imminent threatened legal action(s) against the Company and liaise with external solicitor(s) on litigation matters and/or Industrial Relation disputes.

To monitor changes and updates to relevant laws and regulatory issues that may impact the business.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.

Possess at least 1 or 2-year(s) experience in legal field.

Strong drafting, communication and presentation skills, strong analytical, problem solving, legal research and legal drafting skills.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Good interpersonal skills and adaptability qualities.

Attentive to details and able to work with minimum supervision.

Computer literate and familiar with MS Office.

Preferably Senior Executives/ Executive specializing in Law/Legal Services or equivalent.

Full-Time position.
