Courts Malaysia is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist to maintain servers, networks, and storage, ensuring high availability and security across all locations. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with Applications and Helpdesk to streamline operations.
The role requires a Diploma or Degree in IT, 2–5 years of hands-on experience, Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN, and basic SQL.
This role maintains and supports the organization's IT infrastructure and operational systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of servers, networks, and applications. The role involves monitoring and resolving technical issues, assisting in infrastructure projects, implementing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting business operations within SLA, and providing accurate documentation and reporting.
Monitor and maintain servers, network devices, and IT infrastructure components to ensure continuous operation and high performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues for business systems, POS, and PCs.
Assist in the implementation of infrastructure projects, including store openings, closures, renovations, and system upgrades.
Perform preventive maintenance and system checks to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
Assist in documenting SOPs, user guides, and technical procedures for operational consistency.
Support change management processes, ensuring proper logging and adherence to policies.
Maintain accurate inventory and life-cycle records of infrastructure assets.
Monitor system performance, report incidents, and upscale issues as required.
Collaborate with internal teams, including Applications and Helpdesk, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Follow IT security policies and best practices to maintain network and system integrity.
Perform periodic maintenance to ensure any preventive measures are taken and to ensure high availability solutions are provided.
Develop a proactive analysis of capacity planning, performance upgrade plan presented timely manner.
Monitor and manage high-priority incidents for closure.
Monitor the second Level Support via the Helpdesk team to structure and guide all the support requests and incident requests efficiently.
Monitor and plan the department's expenses to ensure the procurement process and upgrade plans are adhered to according to the business plan.
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2-5 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage management.
Practical knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and basic configuration management.
Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.
Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN setup and maintenance.
Basic knowledge of SQL databases (Microsoft SQL, MySQL) is a plus.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under SLA commitments and handle high-priority incidents efficiently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with stakeholders and team members.
