Job summary

InterContinental 62s Group plc is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide the safety, sustainability, and asset performance of new hotel developments across Southeast Asia and Korea. You will partner with owners, project teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver hotels to the highest standards.

In this role you will lead engineering reviews, ensure pre-opening readiness, drive safety and energy efficiency initiatives, and influence design decisions to optimize long-term performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience in hospitality, commercial real estate, construction, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, engineering operations, fire life safety compliance, sustainability programmes, and hotel development processes.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence stakeholders across owners, consultants, contractors, operators, and senior leaders.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical requirements, commercial considerations, timelines, and outcomes.
• Degree in Engineering; professional engineering, fire safety, mechanical, electrical, or sustainability certifications highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering support for hotel development projects across SE Asia and Korea, overseeing design reviews, project execution, and pre-opening readiness.
• Act as the engineering SME for owners, consultants, and project teams, guiding design optimisation and operational efficiency.
• Drive fire life safety compliance through inspections, testing, commissioning, and sign-offs.
• Champion sustainability by embedding energy efficiency measures in hotel designs and identifying new technologies.
• Partner with hotel teams during pre-opening and operational transitions, supporting property improvement, conversions, and renovations.
