Job summary

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Engineering Manager to support department heads in budgeting, capital projects, and energy conservation. You will oversee preventative maintenance and safety programs, supervise staff and contractors, and coordinate with other departments to protect assets and guest experiences.

Maintain and improve building systems, comply with safety standards, and lead initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• 2-year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in engineering/maintenance; HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting and capital expenditures planning for the engineering department.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure reliability and safety.
• Supervise day-to-day engineering operations and staff/contractors.
• Manage building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and energy use.
• Ensure equipment and grounds are kept in safe, efficient condition.
• Act as liaison for other departments on engineering-related needs.

Education

High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in engineering & maintenance
