Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad is seeking an Engineer - Engineering (Control & Instrumentation) to oversee reliability and effectiveness of plant control systems. You will troubleshoot, modify, repair, and lead a team while enforcing ISO 9001 and GMP standards and standardising procedures.

The role focuses on calibration, maintenance, installation, testing, and continuous improvement of control systems, ensuring equipment reliability and health, safety, and quality across projects at the Sepang site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Control and Instrumentation field, or fresh graduate in a related discipline.
• Knowledge in sensor and wiring installation.
• Knowledge in PLC programming (Ladder Diagram) — Siemens, Fatek.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all control system and instrumentation activities in the plant, including calibration, maintenance, installation, and testing.
• Assign daily tasks to CNI personnel, oversee their work, and provide training and support to ensure effective performance.
• Plan and assist in plant maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and attend promptly to machinery or equipment breakdowns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in control systems, machinery automation, and process optimisation.
• Monitor spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely procurement.
• Review and update control system documentation, departmental procedures, and work instructions for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external regulatory inspectors to address and resolve any maintenance-related findings.
• Prepare and submit required reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad hoc) covering repairs, performance, resources, and budgets.
• Conduct performance appraisals, develop subordinates, and ensure standardisation across all tasks.
• Implement and uphold health, safety, and quality standards in all activities and projects.

Job Purpose
