Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad is seeking a Manager - Engineering (Plant & Process and Control & Instrumentation) to lead and manage all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations across the plant in Sepang, Malaysia. You will drive equipment reliability, process efficiency, and continuous improvement, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/mechatronic engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, AutoCAD, GMP, and Industry 4.0 (IoT/Automation).
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, time study, manpower utilization, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, automation, control, and instrumentation activities across the plant.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Plan, budget, and execute CAPEX projects, including engineering upgrades and Industry 4.0 adoption.
• Monitor process costs and OEE; implement cost-effective improvements.
• Manage inventory, manpower, and performance tracking systems for optimal efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify issues and maintain operational standards.
• Drive process improvements, equipment performance enhancements, and work practice optimization.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies during audits and resolve compliance issues.
• Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team to achieve operational targets.
• Coordinate with other departments to align processes and achieve organizational goals.

5. Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP certification is a plus
