TERA DATA CENTERS PTE. LTD. ("TERA DC") is a fast-growing multinational data center platform building large-scale campus developments across Asia.

We seek an ELV Design Lead in Kuala Lumpur to oversee ELV system design and delivery, coordinating with international clients and project teams to ensure seamless integration with ICT, security, and building automation. You will drive specifications, review designs, and support bidding while applying best practices for ELV, BMS, BA, and fire alarm

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience designing ELV systems for large-scale data centers or high-precision facilities.
• Excellent English communication and ability to manage international projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of data center ELV systems including ICT infrastructure and security.
• Review design packages, tender documents, and materials submissions; support bidding.
• Coordinate with international clients throughout project lifecycle for ELV scope.
• Collaborate with project teams and contractors to resolve on-site issues.
• Monitor ELV technologies and evaluate applicability to projects.

Key Responsibilities

• ELV Design and Delivery:Lead the design and implementation of data center ELV systems, including ICT infrastructure, structured cabling, networks, security systems (TVRA, CCTV, access control, FIDS, VMS, and ISMS), and video conferencing systems.
• Manage and guide design consultants; review detailed design packages, tender documents, and material submissions; and support the bidding process.
• Client and Project Coordination:Provide technical support and coordinate with international clients throughout the project lifecycle. Apply a strong understanding of international client requirements for cabling infrastructure design and construction, including underground duct banks, secure trunking, cable baskets, fiber runners, PoE systems, and telecommunications manholes.
• Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and relevant internal departments to resolve on-site technical issues.
• Technology and Continuous Improvement:Monitor developments in ELV technologies and evaluate their potential application in data center projects.
• Additional Responsibilities:Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Preferred Capabilities:Familiarity with building management systems (BMS), building automation (BA) systems, and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of construction and commissioning standards, including testing procedures, work processes, and acceptance documentation requirements.
• Experience researching and implementing intelligent data center automation solutions, including robust monitoring platforms and customized electrical and HVAC control strategies that reduce manual intervention and maximize automated operation.

Job Requirements:

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or abovein Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Familiar with ELVdesign standards and specifications, as well as national, American, and British design codes; experienced in Southeast Asia design and approval processes
• Extensive experience managing ELV systems across the full lifecycle of large-scale data center or high-precision manufacturing projects, with demonstrated expertise in the design and delivery of data center equipment and facilities.
• Strong understanding of the technical principles underlying mainstream ELV systems, supported by hands-on experience commissioning at least one ELV product or system.
• Experience delivering international projects, with a sound understanding of large-scale data center electrical and cooling infrastructure.

Experience

• Over 5years of ELVdesign experience in Malaysia,Indonesia,or other Southeast Asiancountries, with proven experience in the ELVdesign and management of data centers.
• Proven track record in delivering ELVconcept and detailed design for large-scale industrial, logistics, or data center projects.
• Skilled in analysis and problem-solving to address design and construction issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Capable of handling high-pressure situations, juggling multiple tasks, and achieving outcomes in a dynamic work setting.
• Eager to learn, positive-minded, and takes initiative.
