Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data centre engineering and construction company to hire an ELV Engineer to support large-scale data centre projects in Banting, Selangor.
About the Role
The Challenge
Manage low-voltage electrical engineering and construction activities from pre-construction through project close-out, ensuring technical requirements, quality, safety, schedule, and cost targets are achieved.
The Opportunity
Work on large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects, coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams across technical planning, site execution, testing, commissioning, and handover.

What You Will Do
- Manage low-voltage electrical engineering and construction activities from pre-construction through project close-out.
- Prepare and review technical proposals, subcontractor SOWs, method statements, construction plans, drawings, BOQs, material lists, and technical submissions.
- Develop construction schedules, look-ahead plans, manpower plans, and material/equipment mobilisation plans while managing project risks.
- Supervise on-site low-voltage electrical works and coordinate technical and construction matters with clients, consultants, subcontractors, M&E teams, EHS, and other project stakeholders.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning preparation, documentation, training, material inventory, handover, and project close-out activities.
Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant electrical construction or engineering experience.
- Experience in data centre, industrial, mission-critical, or large-scale M&E construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, installation, construction, and site coordination.
- Proficient in reading electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
Skills and Attributes
- Able to perform basic electrical detailed design, quantity take-offs, and preparation of BOQs and material/equipment schedules.
- Familiar with construction method statements, technical submissions, subcontractor SOWs, and work interface management.
- Strong understanding of construction quality, safety, schedule, cost, and risk management.
- Strong technical coordination, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel or be stationed at overseas project sites when required.
