Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan GMRecruitment Sdn Bhd is seeking a senior ELV Design Lead to deliver engineering leadership for hyperscale data centre projects in Malaysia. You will architect ELV systems, set standards, and drive quality from concept through commissioning, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with CSA, MEP, IT, Security and operations teams to deliver integrated, scalable solutions, conduct design quality assurance and commissioning validations, and support

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of ELV design and engineering experience.
• Experience with data centres or mission-critical facilities.
• Proven track record from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and design expertise for ELV systems across hyperscale and colocation data centre projects.
• Develop and standardize ELV design standards, technical specifications and engineering best practices.
• Review and oversee ELV systems including structured cabling, fibre networks, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, CCTV, access control, PAGA, physical security and other critical ELV infrastructure.
• Review and validate design deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, operational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate design changes, value engineering proposals and emerging technologies to improve system reliability, scalability, security and operational efficiency.
• Support RFPs, tender evaluations and customer engagements by providing ELV technical expertise.
• Conduct design quality assurance reviews, technical audits and commissioning validations.
• Collaborate with CSA, MEP, IT, Security, Operations, consultants and contractors to deliver integrated and resilient data centre solutions.

• Develop and standardize ELV design standards, technical specifications and engineering best practices.
• Review and oversee ELV systems including structured cabling, fibre networks, BMS, EPMS, DCIM, CCTV, access control, PAGA, physical security and other critical ELV infrastructure.
• Review and validate design deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, operational objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate design changes, value engineering proposals and emerging technologies to improve system reliability, scalability, security and operational efficiency.
• Support RFPs, tender evaluations, technical due diligence and customer engagements by providing ELV technical expertise.
• Conduct design quality assurance reviews, technical audits, construction document reviews and commissioning validations.
• Collaborate with CSA, MEP, IT, Security, Operations, consultants and contractors to deliver integrated and resilient data centre solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in ELV system design and engineering.
• Strong experience in data centres, mission-critical facilities, telecommunications or large-scale intelligent buildings.
• Proven experience delivering projects from concept design through commissioning.
• Strong experience working with design consultants, developers, contractors and operators.
• Experience in developing technical standards, specifications and engineering best practices is preferred.
• Prior experience in hyperscale or colocation data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Strong technical leadership, design review and stakeholder management skills.
