Job summary

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment laws governing data centre building management
• Bachelor degree in Safety/Environmental disciplines preferred
• Registered/certified EHS Officer in Malaysia
• Proven track record in leading EHS compliance and management systems
• Conversant with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Malaysian EHS legislation (OSH Act, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Inspect environment, equipment and processes for compliance with customer requirements and regulations
• Identify hazards and risks and follow up until closure
• Develop and implement inspection policies and routine inspection schedules
• Lead EHS incident investigations and reporting
• Maintain MSDS and ensure accessibility of safety data
• Record and monitor hazardous waste exposures and regulatory compliance
• Conduct site EHS risk assessments and seek approvals from customer/EHS personnel
• Perform site audits and close non-conformances
• Support ISO certification across Quality, ISMS, Environment and OH&S
• Advise staff on legal requirements and best practices
• Collaborate with management to drive safety culture and training
• Coordinate accident investigations and track manhour losses
• Build EHS networks and share best practices
• Ensure daily operations follow EHS requirements and staff trained
• Implement risk assessments for major work change control
• Coordinate LOTO procedures and safe systems of work
• Ensure regulatory compliance across buildings and infrastructure
