We are seeking a Senior Developer LIMS to join our growing technology team at SCHOTT ASIA IT SERVICES SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Cyberjaya, Selangor. As a Senior Developer LIMS, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) that are critical to our operational excellence. This position offers the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the strategic direction of our development efforts.
Design, develop, and maintain Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) using industry best practices and modern development methodologies
Lead the architecture and technical design of LIMS solutions to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability
Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code whilst adhering to coding standards and quality assurance protocols
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers to maintain code quality standards
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in LIMS applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
Implement and maintain database solutions, optimising queries and ensuring data integrity
Mentor and guide junior developers in their technical development and professional growth
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LIMS with other enterprise systems and applications
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in LIMS development, recommending improvements to existing systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum 5-7 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years specifically in LIMS development and administration
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar object-oriented languages
Demonstrated expertise in LIMS platforms and laboratory management workflows
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
Knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, or similar frameworks
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with web services, APIs, and integration technologies is advantageous
Knowledge of healthcare or laboratory compliance standards (such as GLP, ISO 17025) is a plus
Experience with cloud platforms or deployment automation tools is preferred
Required Travelling to Germany
