Job summary

SCHOTT ASIA IT SERVICES SDN BHD in Cyberjaya, Selangor, seeks a Senior Developer LIMS to design, develop, and maintain Laboratory Information Management Systems critical to operations. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior developers, and shape the direction of our LIMS development efforts.

The role requires 5–7 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in LIMS, strong OO language skills (Java/C#/Python), and experience with SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of software development, with 3+ years in LIMS development/administration.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C#, Python or similar OO languages.
• Experience with LIMS platforms and lab workflows.
• Experience with relational DBs (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and modern architecture patterns.
• Experience with Git or SVN.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain LIMS using industry best practices.
• Lead architecture and technical design to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate to technical specs.
• Write clean, documented code and enforce quality standards.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Implement and maintain database solutions and data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LIMS with other systems.
• Stay current with LIMS trends and advocate improvements.
