Job summary

SCHOTT ASIA IT SERVICES SDN BHD in Cyberjaya, Selangor, is seeking a Senior Developer LIMS to design, develop, and maintain LIMS systems. The role offers leadership of technical initiatives, mentoring of juniors, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet business needs.

The position requires 5–7 years of software development, with at least 3 years in LIMS. Strong Java/C#/Python skills, database expertise, and Agile experience are essential; travel to Germany is expected and work hours follow

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or related field.
• 5-7 years of software development, at least 3 in LIMS.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C#, Python or similar.
• Experience with LIMS platforms and lab workflows.
• Relational databases: SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Agile/Scrum or similar methodologies.
• Knowledge of architecture and design patterns.
• Version control with Git or SVN.
• Strong problem-solving and team collaboration.
• Excellent communication; APIs/integration experience a plus.
• Healthcare/lab compliance knowledge a plus (GLP/ISO 17025).
• Cloud or deployment automation tools a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Germany; German time zone work hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain LIMS systems and modules.
• Lead architecture and technical design for scalable LIMS solutions.
• Gather requirements and translate into technical specs.
• Write clean, documented code and enforce coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LIMS issues with minimal downtime.
• Implement and optimise database solutions and queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems.
• Stay current with LIMS tech and propose improvements.
