Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a biology-lab professional to perform sample preparation, nucleic acid extraction, single-cell work, and Sanger/NGS sequencing with data interpretation. You will track samples, ensure QC, and support client collaborations across Asia.

The role requires hands-on molecular biology experience, strong communication in local language and English, and a proactive, customer-oriented mindset. This is an on-site lab position in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Biology, Genetics or Molecular Biology.
• 2+ years experience in NGS sequencing preferred.
• Hands-on molecular lab experience: single-cell expansion, nucleic acid extraction & PCR.
• Proficient in local language and English, good communication & customer-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Complete lab experiments: sample prep, blood separation, nucleic acid extraction, single-cell work, basic analysis and interpretation of Sanger/NGS results.
• Responsible for sample tracking, experiment quality control and data collection/feedback.
• Maintain daily operation of lab instruments to ensure reagents and consumables meet requirements.
• Conduct validations for local clients and assist in building client platforms.
• Provide timely feedback on customer needs to enhance satisfaction.
• Assist clients in data analysis and reporting.
• Documentation and SOP writing for CAP/ISO.
• Provide technical support and backup for labs across Asia.

Job description

• 1. Complete the lab experiment including but not limited to sample preparation,blood separation, nucleic acid extraction, oral mucosal single-cell picking, basic analysis and judgment of Sanger sequencing results,single-cell whole genome amplification, SNP locus PCR amplification and next-generation sequencing(NGS)library construction and sequencing;
• 2.Responsible for sample tracking & management, experiment quality control and the result collecting & feedback.
• 3.Responsible for the daily maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure the reagents, consumables etc meet the experimentalrequirements;
• 4.Responsible for conducting validations for local clients, and assisting in the construction of the client's platform;
• 5.Timely feedback on customers'needs to enhance customer satisfaction
• 6.Assist clients in data analysis and issuing reports
• 7. Documentation and SOP writing for CAP/ISO
• 8. Provide technical support and backup for labs across Asia.
• 9. Other work assigned by the lab manager

About you

• 1.Bachelor degree or above, major in Biology, Genetics, Molecular biology etc.
• 2.2 + years experience in NSG sequencing will be preferred.
• 3. Hands on experience in operating molecular experiments such as single-cell expansion, nucleic acid extraction and PCR.
• 4. Professional in local language and English, skilled in more anguages will be a plus.
• 5.Being positive, proactive, responsible, and equipped with excellent communication ability and customer-oriented mindset.
