Job summary

Nevermore Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Senior Designer to lead interior design projects from concept to completion, across commercial, residential, and F&B sectors.

You will produce design drawings, render with 3D Max, manage sites, and coordinate with clients and contractors while mentoring junior team members.

Strong AutoCAD and 3D Max skills, 3+ years of relevant experience, and English and Bahasa Malaysia are required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of interior design experience with rendering and technical drawings.
• Experience in site management and project coordination.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Our client Nevermore Sdn Bhdis seeking a Senior Designer to join their team!

Are you an experienced and portfolio-driven interior designer ready to take ownership of design projects from concept through to completion? This is a compelling opportunity to join a growing interior design studio in Penang, where your technical expertise, creative vision, and site management experience will be put to meaningful use across a diverse range of commercial, residential, and F&B projects. You will work closely with the Director and a team of designers, playing a pivotal role in shaping design outcomes while also having the opportunity to mentor and influence junior team members. What you'll be doing?

• Design Drawing & Technical Documentation - Produce comprehensive interior design drawings, floor plans, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, ensuring precision and quality across all project deliverables.
• 3D Visualisation & Rendering - Develop detailed and visually compelling 3D renderings using 3D Max to effectively communicate design intent to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Site Management & Coordination - Take an active hands-on role in site visits, overseeing on-site coordination and ensuring that design specifications are accurately executed on the ground.
• Project Management - Lead and manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously, coordinating with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project progression, timely delivery, and adherence to design standards.
• Client & Contractor Liaison - Serve as a key point of contact between the studio, clients, and contractors, facilitating clear communication and collaborative problem-solving throughout each project.

Who are they looking for?

• AutoCAD & 3D Max Proficiency - Strong command of AutoCAD and 3D Max for design drawing, rendering, and technical documentation is a core requirement for this role.
• Relevant Experience - A minimum of 3 years of experience in interior design, with demonstrated exposure to both 3D rendering and technical drawings, is required; candidates with 4-5 years of experience across commercial, residential, or F&B projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Site Management Experience - Proven hands-on experience in site management and project coordination within an interior design or construction-related environment is essential.
• Language Proficiency - Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin proficiency is most preferable, as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders across project sites.
• Educational Background (Advantageous) - A Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is an advantage, though a strong portfolio and demonstrated practical experience are equally valued.
• Multi-Project Management (Advantageous) - Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and liaising with clients and contractors will be a strong differentiator for candidates applying to this role.
• Portfolio Submission - A portfolio showcasing previous interior design, rendering, and site-related project work is required to be submitted alongside the application.
